Throughout her years as an internal organization consultant (ROLM, 3Com, Quantum, eBay) combined with 15 years since founding Strategic Business Systems, Jane has based her approach on four guiding principles:
- Bring firmly-grounded, expert knowledge, experience and skill combined with proven best practices to all client engagements.
- Honor the trust placed in us by maintaining strict confidentiality of the information on which we base our engagement designs and work.
- Seek a systems view of all consulting requests, asking provocative questions to understand potential root causes and options rather than acting merely on the surface request.
- Be impact and outcome-driven vs. staging “events”. Set unquestionably high standards for achieving the results the client seeks. Facilitate pragmatic experiences that produce measurable progress.
Jane is also an Executive Education Lecturer for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in the Product Management week-long series as well as the New Manager Bootcamp for Technical leaders.
